Four Wheel Drive Tracks

Arkapena Scenic Adventures track - $25.00 per car

Starting from Rawnsley Park, this 3 hour drive, best completed in the morning for the views, heads toward the Chace Range, running along the base of the hills and under the gaze of the Captains Head (790m). The track intersects numerous creekbeds that run off the hills face, before heading into the cypress pine country of the ABC Range and up to the nearby Prelinna Lookout. The colours of the red rocks of the ranges and brilliant blue skies are magnificent, as too the view of the nearby Wilpena Pound, Chace and Ulowdna Ranges.

Chace Range Spectacular track - $35.00 per car

Starting from Rawnsley Park, this 5 hour drive explores the variety of flora, fauna and the colourful rock faces of the Chace Range. Experience breathtaking views of the Elder Range, Wilpena Pound and surrounding areas from the top of the Chace and Ulowdna Ranges.

Bookings are not essential. Tracks available subject to road conditions. Keys are available from the Rawnsley Park kiosk at a refundable deposit of $10.00. Please note, high clearance, low range equipped 4wd’s only.
